No thoughts on this? I was laughing alot.
"Happy Valentime's Day!"
"This would have worked on Ugly Betty."
"Get Sophie's Choice out of my apartment!"
"Oh yeah, well then how did I get her underwear?"
"Leave her there...it's better than where I found her."
So might they be setting something up between Liz and Jason Sudeikis's character?

:D
I think the OAD is 02/08 though. ;)
Am I the only one who doesn't find Isabella Rossellini (in this) all that attractive?
Wonder if they'll pick up with the guy who mistakenly sent Liz the flowers. Seemed like a decent match.
And any episode with Cerie is a good one. :D

I knew there was a new ep last night! My DTiVo didn't record it -- and no record of why in the recording history, either. I was thinking we were past all the SP problems that DirecTV created. Sigh -- off to "another venue" to watch the show...

BTW, the flower guy is played by Jason Sudeikis, an SNL cast member. He was a writer for SNL before he became a cast member; he still may be.
Katie Bowden does a great job as Cerie.

Crowning moment to a pretty damned funny episode. I think they even had a racing strip. Didn't think to check before deleting the show.

I love how Jack kept coming up with different items. A can of beer in a bag after last call. A pair of tongs with food on it.

I told my wife that sending a girl roses & then playing like they were meant for someone else would be an awesome way to pick up a girl.

I loved the Law Stylist!! He was adorable. I've never found Jason Sudeikis that cute on SNL before, but he was great in that scene.
And he has to be coming back -- his character had a name in the credits (Frank?), even though I don't think he ever told Liz his name -- so I figured that was a sign that they weren't done with him yet. I can't wait to see where that goes, because he's much more appealing than Beeper Guy.

He did tell her his name, and what he does. Although I forgot both within 3 seconds.

You're right. I forgot his name but I remember him saying that he worked in the Legal Affairs department.

Really? I watched it again and never heard it. Did he say it was Frank? He did say he worked in the legal department and that's when he told her to call him a "Law Stylist" but I never heard him mention his name.
ETA: He definitely did NOT say his name. Liz asked him who he was and he said, "I work up in legal." But in the credits, he was given a name, so maybe they cut that line or something.

Ditto.
I couldn't help but think that Jack's complaints about his ex-wife was a thinly disguised rant by Alec Baldwin against his real-life ex, Kim Basinger.

Hehe, i never thought i'd hear Isabella Rossellini say that, that was great.

Not as good as last week, but better than most comedies on the air currently. Whoever said "pay Alec Baldwin whatever he wants to be in this show" is a f_cking genius.

ok, who are the writers for this show?? One of them has to be Greek. Being a Greek from Cyprus myself, it TOTALLY threw me for a loop when the blonde chick (the receptionis, forget her name) said at the beginning that she doesn't want to get married in a Greek Orthodox church because of the Church's stance on Cyprus - how f-in random is that?
and then the lawyer dude talking about the Charleston Heston having to rename him in Greece...
somebody on there has to be Greek...

ok, apparently Tina Fey's mom is Greek. That explains... thank you IMDB :)

I thought this was a sort-of amusing epsiode, which actually makes it comparatively weak given the bar the show has recently been setting. Overall I felt I lot of it didn't work. I thought it was a mistake, for example, to show Tracy's wife and the two of them trying to have a relatively normal Valentine's night. I don't think it works for his character to have one foot in the total loony world he's normally in and one foot in reality.

Did anybody else get the feeling that all the "you can have it", "you can have it" to everything in the final divorce "negotiation" means there is a HUGE downside lurking there that wasn't presented and will come up later to bite Jack big time? Like "yes, you get everything", including some huge lawsuit or the land is contaminated with toxic waste or something like that?
Good episode - I'm glad I stuck with it after the first couple.

I didn't like 30 Rock too much when it started, but not enough to not give it a chance. It did get better, so that's good, Alec Baldwin being the main reason. But then this episode had a lot of what I didn't like about the first couple of episodes. What do they have in common? They were each written by Tina Fey, which seems like a contradiction, since she created and stars in the show. So my conclusion is her staff of writers are really good, and should have a bigger say in the direction of this show. It's your baby, Tina, but you have to set it free to let it grow.

No. The point was that after the previous episode, she realized she was still hung up on Jack and that's why the divorce had been dragged out for so long. So she made the decision to make a clean break and give in to whatever demands he made. It appears that she's made a very mature decision. Jack is clearly not over her, as evidenced by his behavior in the episode, but at least it seems Bianca has moved on.
Then at the end we see that even though the divorce will be final, they'll still have a venue for airing their repressed sexual tension by fighting over the Arby's in Telluride.

I didn't get the Ugly Betty line.
I will not mention how much Dratch irritates me and how it makes it difficult to enjoy the show (and giving her a line over the credits...come on).

However, Dratch cracked me up in this one, and she does in most of the cameo appearances. The characters are just so bizarre, I laugh.

I've only seen the first half or so of the first episode of Ugly Betty but from what I can tell there is alot of broad humor in the series, i.e. pratfalls, people sneaking around, etc. That's my guess/understanding at least.

I thought this was another solid episode. Rachel Dratch's appearances always seem to be a bit forced but they usually make me laugh at least.
If this show doesn't survive for whatever reason, I hope NBC finds another comedy for Alec Baldwin. He's really been stealing the show.
I enjoyed learning the factoid about Charlton Heston...
