Sony SVR-2000 Tivo drops audio

My Sony svr-2000 tivo drops audio within 5-10 seconds of either watching live tv or recording a show. I tried using different rca cables, reseting tivo, using different video ports on my wega tv. HELP!!!

Unfortunately it sounds like your TiVo is defective. Call TiVo and ask if they will do an exchange.

The svr-2000 is a Series 1. I don't think Sony will have many to exchange. ;)

Does it do it consistently, or just on a few channels? What is your signal source?

Is the TiVo new to you, or have you had it for a while, and just found this forum because you were having trouble?

If you've had it for a while, when's the last time your TiVo was rebooted?
