I'm on The Panel - Anyone Else?

Remember that message we got a few weeks back asking if we were interested in participating in a panel to make TiVo better? Well, I got an email today and filled out the form. I really think they just want to measure what I do with TiVo as it was more or less an Opt In type thing. They mentioned things like Kids World and TiVoCast which is interesting because 1. I have no kids and 2. I only have an S3 so I can't use TiVoCast-yet.

Just wondering if anyone else opted in.

if you opted in before it does not put you in this new TiVo advisor program, which he explains worksa lot like the old one but they want you to sign up to this one specifically if you are so inclined

I just signed up as well. I'm very interested to see the first survey. If it turns out to be hokey, at least I have a shot at the free S3.

I'm in. I was hoping the opt in form meant that they would be using my info in a nealson style way and of course the entry for the S3 didn't hurt.

I'm in as well. But they didn't really ask me any fun questions yet. I may not be in a demographic they want. Or they may sense that I am such a tivo addict, there's nothing they can do to increase my already maxed out tv viewing.

Not to get off topic but wasn't there suppose to have been a movie? I don't recall it ever comeing out.

Not that I would have watched it, I hated the show but I think I would have noticed if they made a movie.

The Movie came out over a year ago, it was called "Serenity" and I loved it! (but then I get a kick out of the series, too). The UHD channel is now showing all of the episodes of Firefly in HD! - please don't faint with over excitement... BTW, I'm on this panel, too

I got the boxed set (of Firefly) for like $20. Granted, it's only DVD...but between my upconverting DVD player or just through component, it looks great!!!

I also heve the eps in SVCD format, HD capture/convert :D

I pursued the age discrimination thing with Tivo when I first filled out the survey. I was rejected when it told me that my age had to be less than 50. I sent them an email and got back an apology that there had been a problem with the survey/signup tool (again) and that was a mistake.

I took the survey again and was accepted this time.

I got the email... and as I was filling out the form I noticed a strange thing.
There are 3 of us in our household, and the form would not let me have ages, for the 3 of us, whose values added up to more than 100!! what?
When I realized what was happening I just readjusted till our ages met the qualifications.
Is this age discrimination? or just bad form design?
