View Full Version : LOST airing a special at 9PM, not just airing at 10.

LOST may be starting at 10, but prior to there'll be a "Survivor's Guide" special airing at 9PM Eastern (and, I'm guessing, Pacific time).

I know this info is a bit late for East Coast and Central Time People, but for anyone else...

My Tivo SP recognized both as "new".

But in any case, the "special" was incredibly boring in my opinion. I thought it would be a better recap. Considering how the first half of this season really split the characters stories between shows (sometimes as much as 3 weeks passed between character stories) I expected better. I honestly have no idea what is going on with the "beach" people anymore!

The show itself was quite good IMHO, however.

Pardon?I was expressing my ennui about the return of "Lost". I loved the first season, kept hoping the second season would rise to the promise of the first, but was disappointed, even though I still liked it enough to keep watching. I only made it through three eps of the first six this season; I found I just didn't care anymore.

This just in: Lost will air back to back episodes for the next two weeks. The 9 pm show will be repeats. According to Jim and In Case of Emergency will return Feb. 28. At least that's the plan.

And we should all not worry too much.

For those new to TiVo, there is a 28-day rule. So if your TiVo has recorded an episode in the last 28 days (and I think it may also be if it just was in the To Do list in the last 28 days), it will not record the subsequent airing of the same episode.

So, for instance, since the 9pm EST episode is a reairing of last week's episode, my TiVo will record American Idol as intended.

Even though Lost is still higher in my SPM than Idol, it will still record Idol due to the 28-day rule.
