I just check my Season Pass on this show today and it shows no episodes coming up. I had to set it to record as a one time showing. It is in the guide but the HR10-250 won't show it in the season pass area. It does show on my R15. If you have the HR10-250 and have this set you may want to check it.

No worries; I canceled my SP after the first ep.
I gave it 3 thumbs down before it even aired. David Spade. Barf.

I was really hopeful that it would be good, the previews were good.
But like you, I did not think the pilot show was very good at all. Sometimes the pilots are pretty bad. I remember watching a rerun of the Seinfeld pilot and I thought it was pretty bad. But it developed very well.
Maybe Rules will develop. But the acting was not very good, at least in the pilot.

With few exceptions, though, series get very little chance to improve (Seinfeld and Arrested Development being notable exceptions; Seinfeld having started off being poor quality, but AD being brilliant from the get-go, but not widely accepted by viewers).
My philosophy is, if the pilot is SO bad I can't stand it, I'm done. If marginal, I'll give it a couple more views before deciding (I watched 4 eps of 'Til Death before canceling my SP).

I'm with you on giving marginal shows a chance to get their sea legs. Some I know from the description alone that I won't like.
Sad to say, I think I'm getting very jaded. I'm no longer expecting great episodes of sitcoms. If I can get a few really funny scenes, or a couple of exceptional one-liners, I'm willing to watch.
Then when I see something really good, it's cause for celebration. I'm just glad for all the choices we have for things other than broadcasting 50% reality TV, 50% sports. (Giggle)

I was having a hard time believing that guy is getting laid - then I remembered he is famous :)
