TIVO suggestions

When I look at my tivo central page, it tells me that it is recording a show through the tivo suggestions option, but when i go back later to watch the show, it is gone. Does anyone know why it is doing this and if so is there any way to recover the lost episode? If anyone cares it was the Friends episode "The one with the prom video" which I would love to see again. Thanks!

It was probably deleted to make room for something else. Suggestions have the lowest priority and there is no guarantee that they will be kept.

If you had wanted to keep one of them, you could have "promoted" it from being a suggestion by changing its "Keep Until" setting to a specific date or "until I delete."

There is no way to get that specific recording back. If you really want to see that episode the next time it's on, you should set up an auto-record wishlist for that title.

Another difference between Suggestions and scheduled recordings is that if you end a scheduled recording early the partial recording will remain in the Now Playing List. A partially recorded Suggestion is deleted immediately (bypassing the Recently Deleted folder) upon being interrupted. The most common cause of a partial recording is changing the channel while the show is being recorded (even if it's in the final credits, this will cause a Suggestion to be immediately deleted).
