So that was about the best House episode I have seen this season.

I loved the Foreman/House interplay, the Foreman/patient interplay, the House/Whitner interplay and found it all very nicely done.

Over and over during the episode I just was so pleased with how the show played out. It was refreshing. The whole Gypsy storyline was amusing, them redoing the room and such. Then there was Chase walking in on the couple in bed and reasoning with the man "you are not calling the police, people don't say they are calling police 'unless'... " I was laughing. It was great.

And you knew when it happened - when House stands up in the Op room, that was it the bet was done. Cuddy would find out.

I hope there are more episodes like this one. After the debacle last week, and all the tritter eps, this was a pleasure.

I really, really enjoyed this episode as well. The patient of the week was an interesting guy, and his choice at the end was sweet, but sad as well. He has such potential- self educated and doing a very good job at it. With Foreman's help and sponsorship he could really do well, but he seemed content with his choices.

And yes- the Foreman/patient connection was palpable. I will hold on to hope that we haven't seen the last of the gypsy boy- maybe he will reconsider?
A long shot, I know. I just liked him a lot.

Not as good as last weeks, but a solid episode.

That would be a neat idea for a next season show. Foreman has shown us in the past that he can reach out and connect with his patients. That is important and it would be a nice 'growth' show for him to work with the gypsy boy and get him an internship or something.

I enjoyed Foreman and patient this week much more than Cameron and patient last week. Does this mean Chase gets his turn next week? Heck even the whole bit about the parking space was nicely played...not overdone. :)

'I don't like lying to my parents.'

...but I'm guessing you lied to your parents about going to make out with your girlfriend.....

I loved it when House, just to distract the parents blurts out: I don't want to get GYPED!

Also, my husband has that toothpick habit. He can keep the same toothpick in his mouth all day.

I didn't even notice that house stood up in that scene. I was busy being partially grossed out by the intestines on screen. I liked the chemistry between the new doctor and house. I can only assume she's a love interest. So far they've definitely set her up to be a match for house in terms of wit.

I was thinking the same thing about House and Witner -- she gave as good as she got, so they might work. Although House is still hung up on Cuddy.

I disagree. He's NOT "hung up" on Cuddy, he just enjoys aggravating her by making her think so. Whitner is hot, and a match in wit, so I think it's far more likely to happen than House and Cuddy.

Interesting how every doctor had their initials on their parking space except House, which simply said "House MD".

I thought the same thing also.

I loved the scene with House and Whitner in the hallway. I can't remember the whole dialogue, but I was giggling.

I, too, was pretty grossed out by the intestine scene. I knew the toothpick would come in to play at some point since they made sure to show the dad chewing on it in so many scenes.

Although House is still hung up on Cuddy.

Well maybe just her half full C-cups. :D

obligatory post that in a mildly offensive manner describes what to do with the other half that might involve warming hands in -15 degree wisconsin weather

I really like the episode a lot. I though everything worked very well. Foreman and the patient had some great interaction. House and his crusade for his parking spot was hillarious. Another great scene with house doing clinic duty. I wish we could see more of it because it is always entertaining.

I had a real problem with the beginning of the episode when the patient was left to sit there because they couldn't locate his parents. All they needed was an emergency consent form and two physician signatures.

I finally had a chance to watch this episode last night. It was a good one. I made the mistake of pausing TiVo to get a snack right before the operation scene. Ewww! I kept looking away thinking it would be over but every time I glanced back it was still going on. Yuck. I could do without those type scenes.

I LOVED the song they played at the end as the boy was leaving the hospital. I paused TiVo again and ran to the computer to search for the song, found that it was "In the Waiting Line" by Zero 7, bought the whole album from iTunes and returned to finish the show. I listened to the song three times on the way in to work this morning. Cool.

Count me as another person who rushed off to get the song. Thank you to the close-captioner who made it so easy (though a Google search on some of the lyrics would no doubt have turned up the answer in no time).

LOL, I said to my wife (who was appropriately grossed out by that), "Well at least we didn't have sausage for dinner!"

BTW, the actress who played the girlfriend was driving me crazy as to where I had seen her before recently. IMDB reveals it's Hannah from Veronica Mars (Logan's non-veronica love interest in Season 2). I knew I recognized her... Once again, IMDB saves my (fleeting) sanity.

I had the same problem, and like you, IMDB to the rescue. I think her relationship with Logan, the very, very wealthy beats the gypsy on many levels, except that Logan is shallow as a person, and this guy, not so shallow. [Can't remember his name...]

So that was about the best House episode I have seen this season....I finally watched this one, and totally agree...one of the fastest hours in this series. Maybe it's reclaimed its mojo. I especially loved the comments by the young man about how none of the doctors had rings on their fingers and are alone...then the scene at the end with Foreman at his desk obviously late at night, alone.....I LOVED the song they played at the end as the boy was leaving the hospital......Thank you to the close-captioner who made it so easy (though a Google search on some of the lyrics would no doubt have turned up the answer in no time).I did the SAME thing...excellent musicianship and harmonies. Might have to do the same!
