VCM -- Now Working?

Not that is wasn't working before, but I was checking my system info screen this morning and noticed that my VCM connection was 'last successful' with todays date. It also 'succeeded' again this afternoon.

Now I don't have that old December date, which made me think something was wrong (not that there was to begin with).

I noticed this recently too. I was going to post the info, but decided that since nobody seems to know what it is exactly anyway, I wouldn't bother. But now that someone else brought it up...

When the VCM connection (whatever the hell it is) was first added to the sys info screen, it was making a connection every 5 minutes. Now that the display is working again, the connections seem to be at random intervals that range between a couple of hours and many hours.

perhaps the amazon anouncement has made the VCM useful again, at least at some future date
