We have three Tivos, all Series 2; one in the living room, one in the bedroom and one in the playroom. Transfers from playroom-to-bedroom and bedroom-to-living room have always been a little more than minute-for-minute in basic.
Playroom-to-living room has always been a different story, with transfers taking so long that it was usually quicker to route anything through the bedroom first. On a good day it would take about three hours to transfer a one hour program in basic. Then about a month ago the speed from playroom-to-living room increased greatly, without explaination, and was even faster than bedroom-to-living room. It remained that way until Saturday morning. We queued up several programs to transfer while we were out, only to return several hours later to discover that the first program had transferred only a few minutes.
Now everything is at a snail’s pace, no matter which Tivo the transfer is from or to. Everything has been restarted and it didn’t help, and nothing has changed as far as our network setup is concerned. Everything is wireless, with a Linksys router.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
