Okay, I know I'm probably an idiot, but.....
I am trying to connect wirelessly...I've done it successfully before, but now when I try, my computer has a pop-up that says something along the lines of "another device is trying to connect/ there is an IP conflict" of some sort
Whats going on and how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance for your help! :o

Set a static IP address for the TiVo.

Set a static IP address for the TiVo.
Yep. For whatever reason your Tivo is trying to get an IP address that has already been assigned. I had this problem with a print server that didn't register an address as taken.
Assign a fixed address to teh tivo outside the range of the DHCP addresses (same subnet, though). This has the benefit of allowing you to know the address always, so it doesn't change for programs on your computer that download info from tivo.

Hi, I'm having an ip address CONFLICT. After the update I lost whatever ipaddress there was had I had to unplug and replug everything.
In doing so, I get a message from windows saying I have a IP conflict. I can no longer print from my printer thats on the network.
I'm a basic user, so the above advice doesn't help, since I don't know the steps necessary to doing this, or if it applies.
Help would be greatly appreciated. Use simple words.
