I couldn't find any information about this on TiVo's site (probably because they don't want to be suggesting it) but I have a TiVo with a 12-month commitment plan that I got last year. The special was a free Series 2 with 12-months at $19.95. I pay by the month and am on my 11th month of service. I was looking at the specials on the refurb Series 2 DT and you can get one for $49.95 with a contracted 12-months of service at $12.95. But I can't find any option to add this to my existing service and change over. What I would like to do is order the new TiVo, pay for the last month of my previous commitment and then have it seamlessly transfer over to another 12 months at $12.95 a month. Is this possible? Or would by ordering the new TiVo I be locking myself into a different contract that couldn't be added to the one I currently have? I realize I could probably just wait until I've paid for the last month I owe TiVo then cancel my service and order the new box, but this won't happen for around 7 weeks and I don't want to wait that long knowing that the special could end at any time. Ideally, I'd like to pay the $60-some dollars ($49.95 plus the first month of service) for the new DT box, set up my account on it, pay for my last month at $19.95 and then start paying the 12 months at $12.95 while using my new box. Sorry if this is confusing or long-winded. I'll appreciate any advice I can get on the subject.

The refurb DT deal and your current one are two separate contracts. No way to mix the two.
