Just wondering how noisey these are as it would go into a bedroom...

I used some 300GB DB35 Seagate Drives recently and they are ultra quite.....

Well I'm not familiar with that model drive, but here's a tip for those concerned about noise in the bedroom (as it were): tune your tuner(s) to non-existent channels. Tivo immediately stops buffering live tv, and becomes silent.

When I walk into our bedroom at night, it's automatic that I grab the remote and hit Power-0-Enter-Live-1-Enter-Power if there's no little red light going on my trusty SD-DVR80. (I only power the TV on so I can make sure my keypresses "take.") If my wife is in the mood to watch something, we can still pull up the NPL and play Tivo'd shows, but the live buffer stays off.
