Series 2 with DirecTV

I used to have Io Optimum cable with a cable box hooked up directly into my TiVo with the IR sensor to change channels. However, I just got a DirecTV installation without a cable box in the room with my TiVo; it's just the cable wire coming from a wire within the wall, hooked up into my TiVo's Ant. input.

How do I get this to work? If I select satellite in the Channel List setup, it prompts for the IR sensor and a corresponding satellite cable box, which I don't have and ends up not working period. If I select just antenna, it only setups the Guide for the first 30 or 40 channels, which works, but it goes much higher than that.

Anyone have any ideas?

You need the cable box (satellite receiver).

The Series 2 TIVO does NOT have a tuner within it.
It needs to "talk" to the receiver box in order to setup and change the channels either by using an IR blaster or direct connection.
