I have been recording HBO Rome after season 2 began. Beginning with episode 2 that aired 2 weeks ago... I have trouble transferring to my PC using TiVo ToGo.

With episode 2... it stopped transferring right about when the opening title begins. Although the whole show was recorded in TiVo. Episode 3 does not transfer at all.

Recently it has not been uncommon at all for TiVo ToGo to stop responding in my computer... so I shut it down.

Episode 3 repeated tonight, as last weeks episode usually does before the this weeks shows right after it. I recorded both. With both episode 3 & 4.... TiVo ToGo views those files as copywrited material on my TiVo unit... with a red circle and slash through it where the check-box would be. I cannot select them to transfer.

I have a series 2 TiVo 80Hr unit. Anybody got any clues about this? It's the first I have come across this.

Many cable/satellite channels are setting a digital "flag" which the TiVo will cooperate with, not allowing the storing of the recorded material for more than a certain amount of time, or not allowing it to be moved off the TiVo onto another unit. Sounds like this is affecting TiVo To Go.

Seems a bit much. I can see it stopping you from using your computer in making a DVD, but not just in putting it on your computer in the first place, possibly to be moved to a portable device like an iPod.

One bright light in all this...supposedly OverTheAir television can't use such "flags", at least not legally. (Tho' there have been some supposed "mistakes" here and there where it's happened.)
