 Could someone tell me how do I change my online tv guide so I can receive the right channels.
My channels on my tivo box are correct.

Go back and re-do Guided Setup from the beginning.

Give it your correct zip code, service provider (Over The Air, cable, or satellite) and if cable or satellite, your specific type of service with that provider.

Let the machine work its wonders, and later, when it's ready to work again, see if your channel lineup is correct or not.

If it isn't, you need to notify TiVo.

Use this URL to notify them-
http://customersupport.tivo.com/LineUpForm.aspx

EDIT:

I just noticed you said ONLINE TV Guide, not ONSCREEN.

We'd have no idea how to do that, because we don't even know what website you're talking about.

Most websites like tvguide.com and zap2it.com have instructions that are pretty easy to follow to get the lineup thats correct for your area.

Please explain what you're trying to say here. If the channels on your Tivo are correct, then what's the problem in receiving them?

On tivo central online, when I pull up my tv listing guide the channels on the guide are different from the channels on my tv screen which are the right ones.
So I can't program my tivo from online because the channels are wrong.

How long has this problem existed?

Are you certain that you are logged in to Tivo Central Online? If you're not logged in it will show a generic schedule. In the grey bar towards the top of the screen it should show the email your account is registered with if you are logged in.

Are the channels you are seeing at least the right call letters for your area? In other words, is the local NBC affiliate "WGAL" (yours would obviously not be WGAL, but the appropriate letters) or some call letters you don't recognize? Are there even call letters listed on the stations?

EDIT: If you are logged in, try logging out and just entering your zip code and picking the appropriate lineup to see if that lineup is correct.

When logged off I put in my zip code and the right channels poped up. So when I logged back in the wrong channels came back. I notice when I am logged in I can't enter my zip code so what do I need to do?

Like I asked above, are these "wrong channels" completely wrong, or just assigned to the wrong channel number (and time)?

wrong channels and wrong channel #'s

So this lineup is just completely wrong for your area? Just out of curiousity I would recommend googling the call letters of one of the networks to see what area the lineup you're seeing is for. It may help make some sense if it's from somewhere you lived in the past...

You haven't made a lineup change, moved or otherwise affected this in the recent past?

I haven't moved and I haven't made a line up change.

You're killing me here with the partial answers! :)

I'd try rerunning guided setup on your Tivo. If that fails, you'll have to contact Tivo technical support. This isn't a lineup issue, exactly, because you say the lineup on your box is correct. It sounds like TCO just isn't getting the correct provider info from your Tivo.

Also, look to see if the Tivo service number listed in you account on the website is correct (the same as the TSN on your machine). Have you ever had a different Tivo, or a different email address registered with Tivo?

Networks don't have call letters.

Local channels do.

How helpful of you...

Yes, gastrof is correct. I stand corrected and ashamed.

It sounds to me the issue you are requesting help with is in setting up TiVo ONLINE to be correct - yes? If I understand correctly, your actual TiVo box is fine, but you can't schedule anything online because the ONLINE channels are messed up. Is this right?

I believe the channels are based on your zip code in your contact information for your account. When you log in, go to the Manage My Account section and choose Change Contact Info. See if your zipcode is correct there. If it is, I'd suggest calling TiVo... I'm not sure what more you can do there.

Good luck!

Could it be that you've unselected channels you don't receive on your TiVo, but the online scheduler shows them as still being able to be received.

I have that issue.

TiVo seems to think I can get channels via antenna from over 500 miles away, so the online scheduler shows me 3 channel 2's, 3 channel 4's and 3 channel 5's when in reality I can only get one of each.
I have unchecked the ones I can't get, so they don't show up in the guide on my TiVo, but they still show up on the online scheduler.

Each of the ones I can't receive is a different network, so if I pick "CSI" on channel 5 instead of channel 2, it records the wrong thing.

I have submitted channel lineup errors, but have gotten no response.

This happened to me a few months ago. The problem turned out to be that somehow Tivo had the wrong service number for my box. It was actually registered to someone else in a different zip code. Weird. They fixed it and then it worked again.

It can't be based solely on that because a given zipcode may have a dozen or more lineup options. It must be based on the lineup the box is subscribed for.

Interesting to hear that someone had the exact problem I postulated above!
