I'm having a problems  connecting via the network it just sits at negotiating for a while then gives me the service not found (N13) message. This happens using the RJ45 on the back or a linksys usb adapter. I can pull a DHCP address from all and ping that address. but no luck. It a Linksys Cable modem and gateway by the way>
Any ideas?? Thanks

Did you try rebooting the TiVo?

yes many times. It worked once via the usb but that was it. Now I've had to use the phone line but now I need to run a phone cable across the floor

By chance, are you using a network that requires you to log in before you can access anything? I.e., a schools campus, or hotel type setup. Opening a browser and going to a website redirects you to a sign in page that you must complete before viewing websites. If this is the case, I don't know of a way around this. When I setup my boyfriend's TiVo, I had to end up using the telephone line.
