More details, please! Like, what model TV and how is it connected?
Any way, try a different connection.

shipwreck: As Jim said, more info is needed. Did you try switching from HDMI to component? How about S-Video?
Also, what's your current output format setting? You can check this on the front panel of the HR10 - 480i? 480p? 720p? 1080i?
Make sure whatever connection type you use (component, S-Video) works with the output format and is supported by your TV.
Just a side note: The HDMI connections died on both of my HR10s, but I can watch using component with no problems. If you can use components instead of HDMI, don't worry about getting your HR10 repaired.

Try what Drew said and use the component output instead. Chances are you won't see a bit of difference between component and HDMI. I've tested numerous HR10-250's this way on my Hitachi 60VS810 60" HDTV and have yet to see any difference between the two outputs.
The problem is most likely the HDMI card, which was a major issue with the first generation HR10-250's. CCS corporation does a good job fixing them for $100. I've had them repair about nine HDMI cards so far and every one looks and works like new when I receive them back. Total turnaround time is about six working days, depending on how you ship it to them. I always used USPS Priority Mail and got them back in short order.
