Will high-def PPV come back after sunday? I just got a bunch of free PPV credit
from retention.... but they are useless because there's no HD PPV movies right
now....
Thanks!

A little impatient aren't you? :p
It's only two days until "after Sunday", so just flip to the HD-PPV channel in two days, and you'll have your answer. :)
(You could also try calling customer service if you wanted an answer sooner.)

That's an interesting concept, Drew. Doing research all by yourself to come up with the solution rather than rely on a forum to do all your legwork.

... and what are the odds of anyone in customer service actually having and sharing accurate information?
Perhaps on this subject they may have info, but their track record is not so great.
Once they provide an answer, how does one know whether it was accurate or not?
Sorry, I have been very disappointed and sometimes disgusted with the lack of information available from DirecTV CSRs.

Sorry, I have been very disappointed and sometimes disgusted with the lack of information available from DirecTV CSRs.Valid points about the seeming pot-luck knowledge of the CSRs, but what members of this forum can provide more authoritative answers than them on this subject? So instead, why not just wait two days? If HD PPV comes back, wouldn't it have been nice to read a thread entitled, "High-def PPV is back!" rather than yet another question?

Have you figured out what you are going to be watching instead of the Super Bowl during your Super Bowl party that you are hosting?
Leila - Seeing as no one answered your question. I noticed that they show Barnyard as upcoming on HD PPV. Looks like it will be on Monday.

Leila does this all the time. She's got 275 posts and has started 146 threads. Starts many threads that she could answer herself with a little research.

I think she was making a statement. I agree with her statement.

I think she was making a statement. I agree with her statement. What exactly is/was her statement?
(She got some free PPV coupons. She says there's useless because the single HD-PPV channel we have may or may not be back up after NFL season. But those coupons can be used on all the SD PPV channels, so they aren't useless.)

Yeah, it's the kind of approach Nostradamus fans use.

well... the HD PPV guide data appear on all of my HR10s... also on the DirecTV website... However, when I ordered with my remote or on the DTV website,
I keep getting messages that say "progam not available in your area" ?????
These are regular movie HD PPVs, not sports.... If I get a DirecTV rep to
manually force order the HD PPV, then it records without any problems...
