Does Verizon FIOS also work with the S2 via STB?

Does anyone have both S3's and S2's (via STB) hooked up to FIOS?
Who makes the Verizon FIOS SD STB? Can the S2 TiVo control it via the IR blasters?

I don't have an S2, just an S3. But, Verizon uses Motorola STBs that can be controlled using the IR blasters. I've also heard they can be controlled by the serial port.

I have FiOS in Richmond, VA, and am using both an S3 and S2. Motorola S2 box is controlled very well by the IR blasters, with no problems.

I have an S2 and an S3 with FiOS in SouthEastern PA. S2 works with Serial Cable control for some areas (specifically I have had success in my setup), but I believe that the Serial Control doesn't work in most areas. I've never used the IR blasters. The S2 does seem to intermittently go to Channel 17 instead of Channel 16 when I manually change the channel on the remote.
