Hmmm abnormal pregnancy? Maybe it's Zod's baby? I doubt it could be Clark's.

I liked the gimmick with the red kryptonite just enough to let them get away with it. However, I really liked the herbalist telling Jimmy that Lois and Clark's destinies are a little more entwined than they realize.

So everyone believes that Lois was drugged by someone else but they all think that Clark just got hopped up on something and went a little crazy? Oy vey! 40 minutes of this show seems like 10 years. Maybe that explains why Lana and Lois look like they have aged 30 years!

No, I'm pretty sure that Lex was involved in Lana's pregnancy. I tghink he's trying to grow a little krypto-ftreak.

What was that that Lana was holding at the end?

Whatever Lex tried to stab into Clark and it got bent up.

Eeehhhhhh.
While it was moderately amusing to see Lois and Clark being bad together, Clark's "Kal" persona should have had a fork stuck in it a long time ago.

Yeah, it always amazes me that they keep resurrecting a plot device that so perfectly showcases Tom Weller's lack of range as an actor...

To be honest, I was expecting a lot worse.

Same here. I was expecting a lot worse. This one had some very fun scenes.

When this one started we both agreed that it was going to be a bad episode. That being said, it surprised us. It was much better than I expected it to be.

I was beginning to think that Lex was going soft. It was good to see confirmation at the end that he was up to no good.

Poor Jimmy.

I think I've seen this episode, two or three times now.

Clark gets affected by red kryptonite and goes all "bad boy"

I think I will finish out the season, and be done with Smallville.

Whatever Lex tried to stab into Clark and it got bent up.

Whatever it was, Lex shouldn't have nearly enough strength to bend it up like that when he tried to shank Clark.

This could be a pretty good show if they'd just get rid of every woman except Chloe or at least reduce them to 30 second, bit characters .

This is the second episode in a row I missed and it doesn't seem like I missed anything. That's bad...

It's really apparent that the only two on the show that can act are Michale Rosenbaum and Allison Mack.

Was mildly amused by the whole thing. Especially when Lois and Clark (haha) broke into Oliver's clocktower and started going at it...almost. I mean, geesh, they can't get a hotel room?

We were wondering just why Mama Kent was at the dinner party with no Lionel in sight. Was he there and we missed him? Does she have no loyalty to Clark anymore?

I'm assuming Lionel was in the men's room when Clark arrived.

Also, notice Clark's saying something about who'll end up with the last name "Luthor" first, Lana or his mother? *

Martha later said 'there are still grains of truth in the things he says' when affected by red K.

*(MAN do I want Lionel to die horribly before that happens! Naturally, Lionel leaves whatever he still has to Martha and Clark...no mention at all of Lex in the will...heh heh.)

Lois was so freaking hot in this one. Nice acting by Erica.

Thought it was funny when herb lady(HL) called her tall and loud. Wonder how HL knew Clarks name?

Also funny when you could see the gears grinding in Chloe's head when Jimmy asked her about being with Clark. She had to think about it.

Chloe dropped Maritian Manhunters name and we saw Lois use the phrase "Leap tall buildings in a single bound"

The bit with the shank. I agree that lex doesn't have the strength to bend it like that. What's going to happen is that Lana will find out about Lex's evil nature while finding out about Clark's secret on her own. I'd guess that while they might have a close friendship Lana's trust issues will be the reason they don't get together. She'll never understand that he did it to protect her because in her mind she can handle anything.

You're not a big fan of the way lionel is portrayed then?

Even though TW is low in the list I think that he plays the part very well, I'm just not certain he'd play any other part equally as well.

I don't particularly care for Lois' character on this show, but I do very much like Chloe and have since the beginning. Although I don't think it will actually happen, I've been harboring the hope that at some point in a dramatic turn of events Lois will be killed off and Chloe will wind up assuming Lois' byline/identity.

Had to fix that for you. Martha has been terrible for a long time now. A lot of it might be due to the fact that almost all they give her to say is "CLARK!!!!" Still she has been rather wretched.

I don't think Smallville is a good medium to judge anyone's acting skills.

For that to happen Chloe would have to forget everything from the last two seasons. I think it more likely that Clark and Chloe get it on for a while and then she leaves much like Pete did when the baddies apply the heat.

As long as we're speculating, I'll take a stab. My guess is that Lana will die/be killed, which will cause Lex to make the final transition to pure evil. Chloe and Clark will be the mirror image of Lex and Lana. Chloe will be killed and that will be Clark's motivation to finally accept the mantle of being a "hero" for the world.

Although I don't think it will happen, I have been harboring a hope that sometime soon, in an ironic turn of events, all the writers of this show will get job offers from other shows and leave. The new writing staff realizes that they have the makings of a great drama here, and using courage, skill and wit, created engaging and intelligent stories, instead of the Payton Place-esque soap opera teen angst drivel that we have been getting for most of this year (a few exceptions). Again, I don't think it will happen. A man has to be able to dream!

I really liked it when Jimmy was talking about what had happend to Chloe and twice she said, "Lois and Clark?" I thought it was a homage (a word I learned here in the TCF) to the other Superman series a few years ago. :)

If Cloe dies, it will probably be from the mental illness that seems to be rampant in her mother's side of the family...

Poor Jimmy.I thought the actor portraying Jimmy did a great job in the scene towards the end, where Jimmy realized Chloe would choose Clark over him.

On a separate note, how did Lana retrieve the bent farm tool? She didn't take it when Martha told her to scram, and I can't imagine Lex let her out of his sight later on ...

Yeah I thought about flipping Lois and Chloe, but then I realized I was just putting too much energy in Smallville. :D
