After switching to a larger attic antenna and doing a OTA channel scan, I now get a few more locals OTA. However, the guide only says "regular schedule" with no programming info. It's been a couple weeks with a couple restarts, but nothing helps. Is there anything I can do to get the guide to work for these? I have an HR10-25.
Thanks

Have you entered the zipcode for the second location?

No. I can try that, but some of the missing guide data is just extra "dash" channels of ones I'm already getting. Like 9-1 is fine, and 9-2 has no data. I'll add in another zip code and see.
Thanks

Does 9-2 actually have programming? It's possible that Tribune Media doesn't know about the new sub-channel yet. Go to their website schedule at http://zap2it.com to check your locale's lineup.

Yes, 9-2 does have programming on it. I tried re-entering and adding zip codes, but still no guide data. That site you linked to shows guide data for all but 9-2. However I'm missing more than just 9-2 so I may just have to live with it.
Thanks for your help.

cpk,
I would call DirecTV and explain that you are missing guide data for some channels. They should transfer you to some tech support folks who handle these types of problems. I have done this successfully in the past, although the results took some time.
Mention that you already looked in Zap2it.com.
Good luck!

I think I may have an answer for this problem.
About a month ago I started receiving the "Regular Schedule" information on the guide. I made a few useless calls to DTV and I received their bull**** story that because it is an OTA channel the guide date is provided by the local station and not DTV. I know for a fact DTV/Tivo provides ALL the guide data. They wanted me to do a total reset of the system. Then they said my hard drive must be failing and then they tried to trade it in for a HR-20. I am so sick of them.
Anyway I finally figured it out on my own.
I live in the Sacramento, CA OTA area. We receive channel 40-1 & 40-2 KTXL. I made no changes to my system and all of a sudden I started receiving "Regular Schedule"in the guide data on 40-1. For some reason DTV/Tivo decided to change the numbers for the channel by dropping the hyphen. Simply go to the OTA channel setup and there should be a duplicate entry for the same channel (the one without the hyphen), Select it and clear the old selection. I went through all of my channels and several others had also been changed.
Totally fixed the problem.

I know for a fact DTV/Tivo provides ALL the guide data.Actually, DirecTV purchases the guide data from Tribune (www.zap2it.com)

I don't care where THEY get it. What I care about is that I pay for that guide data to be provided to me and I keep getting told from DTV support that they DO NOT provide the data. This is not the first time in the last year when the data was missing and that is always their excuse.
Question: How do they explain that I am receiving guide data for channels that I don't receive OTA?
Answer: DTV provides the data via the satellite. Seems so simple doesn't it?
