Following a disk failure I have recently had to resort to a very old image but a brand new 400Gb disk. it's all nearly back how it was, after many weeks...

However I seem to have a oddity which I don't previously remember. I had SPs for tonight for Holby (1hr, 8 - 9) Five Days (1 hr, 9 - 10) and Shameless (10 - ??). Holby did not get recorded due to "conflict with higher priority season pass".

How come it managed Five Days and Shameless but couldn't get Holby (much to Mrs S's annoyance!)

I have one of the versions of endpad on, which I think was set for 1 minute before and six minutes after. The logs look OK.

Do you have hard padding on Five Days set via the tivo interface?
That's caught me out when a very old season pass has picked up a new series of something.

Looks like that was exactly the issue AMc. I've now been right through the SP list and taken off all hard padding. Thanks

ThanksJust to make the thread a bit more complete, I think there's a utility someone wrote (probably sanderton) that went through all SPs and removed the padding. I think it was written especially for endpad users. This may all be a memory that was fabricated while I was asleep. I'm sure someone will confirm or deny it.

...and the other "gotcha" was that since the old image I have changed service supplier and some of the SPs were mapped to channels which no longer existed (e.g. BBC was 32 and is now 101) so didn't record.

Yeah I had a similar issue when I moved from cable in London to freeview in Norfolk - IIRC BBC1 went from BBC1 to BBC1EAST and dropped all my season passes. Probably one of the reasons I don't have anything on that channel in my To Do today!
