Does anyone else have horribly slow response time on the menus of their HR10-250s?

I don't remember it being this bad when the units were new, but it seems like they have really gotten bad over the past year. I do not have a phone line hooked up to either of my units, and haven't for about a year.

Any suggestions on how to improve performance?

Clear and delete makes a huge improvement but you suffer the loss of season passes, etc.

Mine's been slower going through the menus since I got 6-3a. But I'd trade that for the really slow of setting things to record that I had before that (along with the fear it was going to lock-up or crash when it took so long).

One of the problems with version 3.1.5f code was the database would grow over time and cause the box to slow down. I solve the problem by doing a "clear and delete everything" about once a year. The only problem with doing that is you lose all your recorded shows and season passes. You also have to got through setup after it completes, so you will need to connect your phone line so it can get a list of local phone numbers and do a test call once you have selected one of them. At that point, I disconnect the phone line so I can stay on the 3.1.5f code level. The 6.3 version of code has introduced too many new problems for me, however it does fix the database growth problem.

In my experience you only need to "Clear Program Data & To Do List," where you lose season passes and wishlists. This will complete overnight.
