RID number on DirecTivo unit (selling)

I'm selling my directivo unit on ebay and I'm getting questions from people asking the serial number and the rid number of the unit. Is ok to give this information out?

Yes it is. That is really the only way they can call D* to make sure the receiver is free and clear of debt, and that they won't have any problem activating it.
