Scart connection has 'lost' red from the colour spectrum

Just connected Tivo to a new Plasm aTV & the red colour is not displayed when viewing Tivo - live or previously recorded stuff. Have tried several different Scart cables with the same result. The new TV displays all colours OK from other sources. I then also tried re-connecting Tivo to old TV & the result is also the same. Any ideas would be welcome.

I have seen this before when the TV scart plug has started to pull out of the connection so it is in at an angle. Since you have tried several cables though it is unlikely to be your problem, sorry.

Sounds like a faulty scart socket on the TiVo. Look at the each of the 21 sockets on the TiVo scart to see if one has been damaged. Or it could be a faulty connection inside the TiVo.

Try another SCART socket on the TV, try both SCART sockets on the Tivo

Thanks all - now using the other SCART socket on Tivo & this is working - so my Tivo still lives thank goodness !

Is your TV expecting RGB or composite video?

I am not near my Tivo but I seem to remember there is a setup option to control what comes out of the SCART (or am I thinking of the Sky box??)
