I just bought a Harmony 676 remote (to replace my MX-500 that is beginning to have issues). I am having a problem changing channels using the numbers on the keypad. My Philips DSR6000 (don't laugh... it's a dinosaur but it works perfectly... except with this remote) is VERY slow to respond. I have tried to adjust the response times (it gives a default of 100 ms for "Inter-key Delay" and 500 ms for "Inter-Device Delay"... I have tried changing these values with no improvement). When I try to change channels by punching in the numbers, I have to pause between each number for at least a second before it will show up on the screen. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I've got a 670, and had a similar issue, so I know what you're talking about. Over at the AVS Forum, there was a sticky about how to make your Harmony remote more responsive. From experimenting, I set my Tivos (1 DSR6000, and 1 R10) to have a 0ms time for inter-key and inter-device. If the value is too high, the remote will accept your button press, but wait before sending the command. drop all the settings for your Tivo down to 0, and see how it goes. You should see a major difference. I did...
