I am trying run a different kernel on my S1 DTivo running version 3.5 of the Tivo software, but my Tivo won't boot after I insall the new kernel
I got the kernel from the following site.
[deleted url. Unable to post]
Search Google for lba48 tivo and pick Gravisoft dot us site . The link is the Tivo Stuff -> then the LBA 48.
First, I have also flashed my prom on my Tivo using Steve Jenkin's howto and I do have the TurboNet card working. Then I followed the below directions using TPIP to install the kernel after removing the drive and placing it into a spare machine I have running Debian. Then I ran the tpip commands as described which seemed to work.
[deleted url for Steve Jenkin's TurboNet install]
But after following the process and putting my drive back into my DTivo, it won't boot. What about the modules? Are the existing modulees compatible with this kernel? Does anyone know if the 3.1 kernel ([deleted url from Gravisoft dot us]) works with v3.5 of the Tivo Software on S1 DTivo? It's a Sony SAT-T60.
