Hi there, I wonder if anyone could offer me some advise please with my 6020 TiVo?
My 120gb hard drive has been dying for around a year and finally gave up the ghost last night (entering a GSOD loop), I quickly ripped open the box and swapped back my original 40gb drive.
A quick call later and I have the latest OS and the guide data is now upto date. However the system is refusing to show Live TV (stating no source), and if I press AUX then nothing is showing (just a black screen). HOWEVER, if I turn the SKY box off and on, then the AUX Bypass kicks in and the television shows SKY.
Is my TiVo dead or am I being brain dead?
Thanks for your help guys
Mike
Fake Edit: Also when I try to press Channel Up and Down it doesn't seem to be blasting anything out to Sky as the channel stays the same.

Try powering off both your Sky box and your TiVo and then powering on again, Sky box first.
Sometimes if the signal from the Sky box isn't there during the powering-up phase the TiVo will fail to see it.

Could be stupid of me, but could it be anything to do with RGB and COMPOSITE inputs on the TIVO settings??

If I remove the RGB from the input section of the TiVo menu then the screen is all flickery and rolly.

Have you tried my suggestion yet?

Sorry Blindlemon, yes I have ensured the video output is coming from the SKY box before turning on the TiVo unit.
EDIT: Sorry I meant to say that it didn't work, but thanks for the suggestion.

Rerun guded setup to make sure you have the SCART inputs enabled?

Thanks for the suggestion TCM2007, I ran that and when it came to the section where you attempt to change the channels it states No Input Signal is being received.
I think my TiVo is dead :(

Reboot the machine first via powering off and then again via the menus.
Now re-run Guided Setup selecting aerial only and the relevant UHF channels Tivo finds and then let Guided Setup complete and index (takes an hour or two before you can record programs live or shedule recordings)
Now power off by taking the mains lead out at powering up after going to Sytem Reset and letting Tivo reboot. Then reboot again through the System Reset menu with no power off.
Now rerun Guided Setup again although having made sure to turn your set top box off and on before the last reboot of the Tivo was carried out.
Hopefully you will now find your set top box again.
Alternatively have you tried different Scart cables or a different set top box too to eliminate the problem.

Mind you this configuration issue with not finding the set top box is almost certainly specific to your orginal 40Gb hard drive(s) which you surely now find too small for your needs?
It would really be better to upgrade the whole thing using the www.steveconrad.co.uk/tivo/upgrade3.html guide and say a 400Gb Samsung HDLD drive.
Or you can buy a pre configured drive from www.tivoheaven.co.uk or www.tivoland.com

I had that the other day with mine. Pulling the plug, waiting 30 seconds then turning it back on and it all came back to life.

Probably not configuration at root cause, but some glitch in hardware.

I had a similar "No video" problem on two units, it turned out to be the software version at 1.5x ilo 2.5x - both now work fine since updating their software !

Did rerunning Guided Setup resolve the issue then?

You may understand my reticence to telling you when you find out what I did to fix it ...
I plugged the output scart into AUX and not VIDEO ...
Sometimes I amaze even myself. Thank you again guys, if it wasn't for your assistance I would have binned my TiVo rather than try again.
