Digital Phone Line

I have VOIP phone and internet service. How can I connect my DirecTv TIVO so that it will do the initial setup and daily calls? if there a filter or special code to enter.

DirecTV TiVos don't need to make daily calls as the guide data comes from the satellite. Only the initial setup requires a call.

If you can't get your Tivo to phone home for it's initial Guided Setup with your VOIP system, then take it to a friend's house with a regular analog phone line. Once you've completed the Guided Setup there (you don't need the dish connections), you can take your Tivo home and use it without any phone connection.

By the way, what brand/model DirecTV/Tivo do you have?
