Hi,

I got home today to find that my TiVo was 'playing up'. The sound was ok (both TiVo sounds and TV sounds) and the text of the menus would display, but there was no picture on screen. All that was displayed was a 1inch wide stripe down the left of the screen. The stripe was mainly blue but had other colours in it too (it was slightly reminiscent of a technicolour version of those 80s piano keyboard ties.

As I could see the menus I navigated to the reboot TiVo option and it came back up fine. Just wondered if this is anything people have seen before? The HDD was upgraded about 4months ago and all has been fine until this.

Cheers,

Ian

Saw it once, I installed Hackman and used the option to create folders to allocate programmes to. Had to remove the folders and redo guided setup.

Coincidence? Maybe, but I haven't taken the risk again.

Had a myseterious Green band on the edge of the picture appear once that looked like the tv picture tube was on the way out. A reboot fixed it and I have never seen this problem again.

Got home last night and my wife complained that the TiVo had now had problems 2 days running; first was the stripe on Tuesday and then the sound had disappeared on Wednesday!

Didn't take long for me to discover that the Aux bypass didn't have sound either which I resolved by pressing the mute button on the freeview remote

:D
