My wife has asked me to put a receiver in her computer room (a spare bedroom). The room currently has one cable running to it, and it is not practical to run a second. She does not really care about 2 tuners, but wants to be able to record stuff. I assume that when I connect only one cable, I will get the error message that it is searching for signal on tuner 2. How can I eliminate this message?

Thank you.

Re-do satellite setup & change from 2 cables to one.

Do an Internet search for DSS Stacker and de-stacker. Its a device used to stack 2 signals through a single cable and then de-stack the signals at the other end. It will run you around $300.00.

Good luck
