Phoning in with VOIP ???

I have not phoned in for over 135 days because I now have VOIP with Verizon.
I have been getting reboots over night and it has been suggested that I need to phone in to get the new software installed.
I had to run a 50 ft cable from my VOIP box to the TIVO.
When i tried to force a call I keep getting a busy signal.
I then monitored the call and the operator breaks in telling me that I have to dial a 10 digit number.
It appears that the Tivo receiver is only dialing a 7 digit number.
Is there a way to get around this ??

In the dialing options, there is a place to enter a prefix. In your case the area code. I've forgotten, there may also be a place to tell the unit to use the area code.

I entered the prefix and now it is dialing the number and I can hear noise that sound like it's trying but after a few seconds I get a failed connect...Any suggestion

Finally got to phone in using my VOIP line.with dry loop. I think the *019 prefix helped. Apparently this slows down the modem.Hope this solves my reboot problem.

Would you mind posting the details of what phone numbers you were able to connect to? I'm also a Verizon Voicewing user and have tried every known option. THANKS!
