Time for a new Peanut!

Well, fed up with the old Silver Vs Black.

I am nipping over to the states next month and have been looking at the Series 3 Peanut.

From reading the info, the delux white or black will work with our Series 1's (except fot the missing Aux and Vcr)?.

Slightly different buttons..

As one of my TV's does not work on the Silver or Black remotes, this should be ok as it is a learning remote?

Gah, they've got such a lot of lovely stuff for their Tivos in the states.

But at what cost... Considering how reasonable current replacements are.

Maybe when the current stock of series one's run out and there is no other choice...

If they work with UK TiVos and the learning function allows them to control TVs not supported by the current Series 1 remotes, then cost is unlikely to be an issue and the very attractive appearance will be icing on the cake for somebody with a flashy Samsung plasma or the like :D

Looking at US EBAY site it is amazing how many people sell and buy the Thomson UK TiVo Peanut, I suppose the Silver is like cool for them...

I may take mine over and try and swap it for a delux purple peanut.

So far on my list I need

Roomba Battery
Roomba Side Brush
Delux Black Peanut
TiVo Slippers (Large).


Taking advantage of the dollar to £ at the moment, hope I don't get stung on the way back in.

I too need a Roomba battery (the yellow one is better) and a side brush - how much room have you got? ;)

My only worry about the Roomba battery is that it is about 12 Cells wired together in a plastic container.

I would think the airport scanner would pick this up as maybe a little suspect???

This kinda worries me??

I'm off to NYC tomorrow - anyone know which shops sell TiVo remotes and TiVo slippers?

Might also pick up a Roomba - wonder if you can hack irblast to send it commands..... :-)
