I have a series 1 SVR-2000 and I'd like to know the maximum hard drive size I could put into it, does anyone know? I've been using the Instant Cake software that's maybe a year old. I just did a spare 120GB drive and now that prices are so low for HD I was thinking of either adding another one or just doing a larger HD.

I've seen the Seagate DB35 ST3300822ACE 300GB Hard Drive online for under $100, which seems like a good price.

Thanks, greatly appreciated.

The series 1 can only natively support up 137 GB drives. You can upgrade using various methods to add LBA48 support to allow up to 750 GB drives.

If your version of Instant Cake is only a year old it probably has LBA48 support, so you should be able to use any size hard drive you want.

Thanks for the info. How do I find out if I have LBA48 support? Is there anything special I need to do other than the regular process of creating a drive?

Thanks!
