My series 2 Tivo worked great with my RCA DirecTV satellite receiver. I upgraded to the HD DirecTV receiver, went to the channel changer setup, and selected DirecTV as the receiver. However, my IR remote control no longer works with the DirecTV HD receiver, so the Tivo is no longer recording anything according to the schedule. It cannot change the channel during setup. There is a Tivo Serial controller; however, the DirecTV HD receiver has a USB port. Any ideas how to make this work?
