Reminder Timer

On my tv it has built in tv guide but Im using the Tivo's now and I miss the reminder setting to tell you a movie is on that you want to watch but not record. Id there a setting that I haven't seen on tivo that does this.

No. But once you use TiVo for a while you will watch so little live TV that you will never miss it.

Remember; if you want to watch something it is recommended that you record it.

To me; If it is good enough to watch it is good enough to record. I can always delete it if I don't like the first part. TiVo has plenty more waiting where that came from.

If there is no conflict, will TiVo flash a reminder regarding recording and give option to record/watch/not?

You need to change your thinking on how to watch TV. You're still thinking on the network's schedule. A TiVo allows you to use your own schedule. How does setting a timer help if you're not around to watch? Use the TiVo as it was intended. Then if you get home late you can start playback on your terms.
