I just noticed this today after I recorded a few shows in HD. Tivo saw that the discovery HD shows were HD and put them into the HDTV folder. But some of the CBS and FOX shows did not get placed into the HD folder yet they are HD... Not a big problem just a glitch I guess.

I don't even like the idea of an HD folder. 95% of everything in my Now Playing list is HD. I wish there was a way to turn off that folder.

I agree. I have never even used that folder since I got my Tivo.

Specifically, what shows? If the guide doesn't have them listed as HD even if they are in HD they won't go in that folder.

Example, COPS is not HD but I record on my HD channel because they use DD5.1 That doesn't get in the HD folder. Sports events sometimes don't get recognized as HD.

Also, double check and make sure you have your channels selected for the HD feeds.

On the otherhand I use this folder all the time. Almost all primetime and other entertainment winds up in that folder, whereas news, and less important stuff doesn't. I find it a quick way to lump together one type of viewing vs the other.

YMMV

It's the guide data. Some pbs digital shows are upverted widescreen. They are broadcast as HD, but the guide says letterbox, so they don;t show up in the HD folder.
