None of the CableCARDs my installers have brought have ever come up with a MMI message upon insertion (or shortly thereafter). I'm wondering if this might be part of the problems I am having with "Waiting for CP Auth".
Please answer the poll above and chime in on your installation. Thanks.
Please only answer poll for successful installations.

I had no patience (or after 3 minutes of the cable installer who had never seen a tivo before and doubted this was going to work looking at me) I manually went to the screen.

I don't know what brand of CC I have . I didn't check when it was installed and I'm scared to remove them!
That screen did come up automatically, but it was at least 3-4 minutes after insertion.

Received MMI screen, but had to wait about five minutes for it to appear.

Mine appeared within two to three minutes for all six SA cable cards.

If I remember correctly, I manually went to the screen. I was in too much of a rush to wait.

The automatic MMI message feature stayed under the radar when Cox OKC’s tech installed the CableCARDs in my S3. He went into Settings in order to get to the card menus.

You might get more responses if you tell people what the MMI message is. :D Are you talking about the 161-4 error message? If so, then yes, both my Moto cards gave me that message and have been working great ever since the third set of cards went in. :p

I thought the MMI screen was what popped up indicating the host and data ID numbers. (I'm not looking at the instructions right now so I could be wrong.)
