RF Coax Cable In Port Not Working on TiVo Series 3
I was all ready to have my new Series 3 TiVo up and running today.
Everything was working - all the setup/network setup/guide/ cable cards working....as well. My Time Warner NYC Brooklyn Cable Cards were even recognized by the TiVo Box.
I go to click - watch live tv -- the channels are listed with program data
but I am Missing a signal. it says Searching for Signal: Cable In.
I sat with the cable guy -- he checked the line - it was working and we even tried it on my cable box - so there is no doubt that there is a problem with the cable line.
I restarted it a few times - even went through the guided setup and chose cable and antenna - -- thought that might of fixed it --- but no.....thats not it --- the antenna rf is working--but that won't help me -- because i need the digital cable signal.
I am going to try the following now (recommended by a friend who is a tech):
1 - Clear And Delete Everything
2 - Pull out the cable cards and setup the system for Analog Cable
3 - Unplug the Unit and Reinsert the Cable Cards
4 - Plug it back in
5 - Setting up Cable Cards again
----->Tell cable - Company IT support - that I need a Cold hit.
6 - Run through Setup again -- plug in the unit.
Run a New Setup for Cable Cards
I'll let you know if that works.....anybody else have a similar problem? and know the solution.......
Thanks
