I want to use SATA drive with a SATA to IDE adaptor to image 62small.mfs is it ok?

I want to use a SATA to IDE adaptor to upgrade a series 2 unit DirecTivo. I need to make sure it will be ok. I'm sure it will but i'm worried about the size of the adaptor (they are all standard and the EIDE cable because they are short the adaptor sticks out. If anyone has any insight on this please let me know. The only reason I am doing this is because I want a very good SATA drive in my DirecTivo to preserve my recordings.

Using a SATA drive in a Tivo doesn't gain you anything vs. a standard IDE drive. You'll pay more for it when you consider the price of the adapter and won't get any extra benefit. Stick with a regular IDE drive for Tivo use.
