Moving from Series 1 to Series 2 DirecTV Tivo - Want to Retain Programs

Hello!!

I have a Sony SAT-T60 Series 1 Tivo that I upgraded several years ago to 2 drives and it is beginning to fail. I have purchased a Hughes SD-DVR40 that I intend to upgrade and network using the PTVnet and InstantCake software.

Is there a way to bring over the stored recordings from the Sony SAT-T60 after I complete the initial upgrade steps using the PTVnet and InstantCake software on the SD-DVR40??

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

It's a complicated process that requires many, many hours.

The quick solution is to just unsubscribe the SAT-T60 and watch the old shows at your convience from that Tivo.
