OK, so I've got an HR20 that has it's own problems... But I've got an HR10-250 that is 14 months old. Worked great for a year... starting a month ago, it started missing season pass recordings... In the past few weeks it's started rebooting randomly every day or two. It got the 6.3b update last night. Hopefully that will help. I'm not holding my breath.

Now, over the past few weeks, my old trusty DSR708 has started randomly rebooting every other day as well. Wonderful.

So now I've got three DVR's, none of which I can reliably record and playback TV. What am I paying for?

DirecTV level 2 support says it is likely corrupted files on the boxes... I should reformat and reset the two Tivo boxes etc. to hopefully correct the corrupted files.

These problems seem to be relatively common now... why hasn't this been picked up in the mainstream press? (or it least by a good lawyer!).

6.3b won't necessarily help with SP not recording as this is a corrupt data problem There are a multitude of threads about this on this forum and the SD TiVo forum. What I did to help my T60 was to do the Clear program data and settings instead of the clear & delete everything. On my HR10 I checked the recording history to see what program were hit with the "program won't record because somebody modified the seas pass..." and the re-entered that SP.

Worse yet, Duke has dropped two straight and will likely be out of the top 10 come Monday.

Yeah I know. Worse for the Dukefan. I am a Hokie Alum so I am loving it.

TiVo is working to correct the problem with their software so DTV can provide it to you. TiVo is not known for their swiftness even though DTV is their largest customer.

Good luck, I'm sure TiVo will have it right whenever it finally happens.

Wow, there a reason you are posting in a Tivo Forum basing Tivo whenever you can?

That's just the most recent status Bitz. How is saying that it will be right bashing TiVo? TiVo is not known for quick software updates or patches. They've always taken a slower, more thorough approach.

Relax.
