Ever since the last software update I have been having the same flakey season pass problem other have widely reported.

The net result is we have gotten religious about reviewing our to do list nightly and manually setting shows to record when they show up in the "History" area as no longer scheduled to record. What's annoying is some shows keep pushing to this even after I manually set them up...

But that's not the new issue. As of last night, we noticed a new strange behaviour. The To-Do list History worked normally, alllowing us to scroll aproximaely 14 days (I didn't look precisely but it was around two weeks) into the furture to see what was no longer scheduled to record for whatever reason. And if I went into the "View Upcoming Episodes" within a given show, I would accurately see if it was scheduled to record up to 14 days out.

But when we scrolled through the To-Do list itself, it stopped after only 5 days from now. So individual shows would list an episode would record 10 days out for example, and the History would say what wasn't recording 10 days out, bu the To Do list itself acted like it had no data after 5 days out.

Has this been reported already or is it happening to others? Am I basically SOL until they fix their latest issues?

Man, the entire point of a DVR has kind of gone out the window with D* lately. I have a 10-250 and an HR-20 and now I have to spend as much time babying them to assure they record as I would have manually setting up shows with an old VCR these days -- they with the HR-20 I still can't predict in advance whether the recording will be corrupt. Fun stuff. My wife is ready for me to dump D* altogether.

Widely reported,
if you would have glanced at the threads already in the forum you would have your answer.

These appear to be about the Seaosn Pass issue which I have read about, indicated was widely reported and was not the subject of the email. Now I admit I have not read all multi-hundred posts word for word, but my question was regarding the To Do list issue unrelated to the missing season passes. Is that covered and if so can you try to get me a deeper link?

Thanks.

No, I haven't seen that particular problem on my HR10-250.

No kidding. Having to manually "babysit" a DVR, and constantly worry about whether it will record what it should, means it loses a great deal of its value. I also have an HR20 -- and while it records what it should, it's a crapshoot as to whether you'll actually be able to watch a particular recording.

I've seen this problem the OP described but it is not persitent. An hour later, the list will be populated again (in fact, I've even seen it that it just ends, like it is still retrieving the TDL to display in that it doesn't list the Season Passes with no scheduled recordings at the end).

I think the whole problem is in the indexing of the data. If it is the data's fault (guide data) or the software...I don't know....but it seems to be coming from bad indexing.

Now that you mention it, my problem was as you describe -- it didn't list the shows with no scheduled recordings, etc. It was as if the list were truncated.
