Well, how's that for payback? She falsely accuses him of rape and gets murdered for it. That was great TV.

It was a very interesting episode and as soon as I saw how she was burned, I knew of the real-life case this story was developed from.

Heh, I spent the whole episode wondering where it came from (because of the disclaimer at the beginning), and never did manage to connect it up with anything I knew of.

Thought it was a good episode. Was a bit graphic for a L&O show. Didn't like all the screaming at the end.

I agree. Stabler and Benson's startled reaction to it was great, though.

A young woman living just outside of the Washington DC Area was astranged from her husband with an order of protection against him, he violated it while she was at work, a cellular telephone store. He completely dosed her in gasoline from a water bottle, she ran out the door and tried to get away, he threw a match on her. In that case, the wife wasn't vindictive like the wife in the show, but I've no doubt that was the real life case this show was based on..... oh and the case was even showcased on Oprah, which I believe is where I saw it. Oh and the woman in the real life case survived, quite amazingly, but she's burned over most of her body.

It's nice to see Stabler be right for a change.

pretty much EVERY episode of "L&O:whatever" has that disclaimer. L&O is the premier Ripped From the Headlines Show.
