It looks like they've followed the "24" production forumla too: wrap everything up at the halfway point, just in case the show doesn't get picked up for a full season.
Watching the car "ride off into the sunset", I thought for sure that was the end of the season, just like when Jack and his wife flew off in the helicopter.
Then I looked up an episode guide (http://www.tv.com/big-day/show/58049/episode_listings.html) and saw that there are at least two more, tentatively scheduled for 1/23/2007.

I'm really enjoying this show. It gets funnier every week. I don't think there is any way it could continue more than 1 season though.

I saw it wasn't in the TiVo guide for next week and got scared. According to the link above, they're now scheduled for 1/30.
This episode didn't look like an ending to me.
I know I'm in the minority, but I think this show is funny.

Really? The imagery of riding off into the sunset didn't indicate anything to you? :)
It's not the ending, but it could have served as an adequate ending if the network didn't extend the order to the full 22 episodes. I'm sure that wasn't by accident.

That imagery is there, but there were way too many loose ends for it to be any kind of a satisfactory ending. When it ended, my wife and I said "that's it?" (because we didn't see it in the guide and didn't know if it would be back.
This was only the 11th episode. The 13th episode will have the "if this has to be our ending, here it is" ending.

My wife said the same thing, but I said, "Sure they can. It'll just be another 'big day.'"
Such as the day their first child is born, their honeymoon, the parents' anniversary, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

I thought if it came back for another season it would be about another couple's wedding day... with Lorna coordinating again. I sincerely doubt we'll see a season two. The way they're burning through the episodes two at a time doesn't bode well. They did the same thing with Jake in Progress.

I heard they are moving to Alaska and the Big Day will last all summer.
