Does anyone know what happened that caused the shift from Barbara Walters maintaining the "corporate voice" in the past by reading a quote written by ABC's lawyers backpeddaling for Donald Trump to her new attitude today where she said something about him being "a poor, pathetic man"??

What a passive aggressive tool that man is! Truly a sad little man. First he threatens to kidnap Kelli, now he does this. What is up with that?

It's all publicity. In a couple months they'll make up and she'll have a new show funded by him.

I'm not sure where you got the "passive" part from. :D
Hilarious!!!
I think Rosie is just upset that somebody actually called her on the carpet for her demeaning rants. Good for Trump. (And I'm not a big fan of the guy.)

Of the two, I detest Trump less (although only slightly), so I got a chuckle from the letter.
Good for Trump.Really? That letter was either complete fabrication, or a huge breach of confidence. Or a little of both, I suppose. Either way, it shows a profound lack of integrity.
If I had any respect for Trump before, I don't now.

Assuming it's a breach of confidence, what does that say about Babs? She's a complete two-faced liar if the contents of the letter are true.

Do you really believe that? Why would Donald (in the middle of a feud over comments made about his daddy's money) pretend to be Rosie's friend by warning her about mean comments by Barbara?
It's more likely that he's so wounded by the bankruptcy comments that he's trying to get Rosie to damage her relationship with Barbara. It's very juvenile. A lot like playground arguments from grade school: 'Oh yea?! Well Jimmy thinks you're a poo-poo head, so THERE!'
So pathetic. He's a billionaire, so the saying must be true - you can't buy class.

If nothing else, at least this crap gives Conan an excuse to bring on Robert Smigel to Syncro-Vox as The "Pathetic" Donald...

Y'all are crazy.....Trump o\/\/ns Rosie. Rosie is the tool for making fun of the pageant babe and Trump.....
She totally mocked the two of them. Trump was right in that he gave the pageant babe another chance AND required her to do AA meetings and what not.... And Rosie tries to mock them???????
I don't care what the letter says; Rosie is a tool and thats that. The other ladies on the view tried to get her to "do the combover and impression" again after Trump called her out and she refused......So Turmp o\/\/ns for getting her to shut her yapper!!!!
Go AWAY ROSIE!!!!!!!! If you wanted to make a statement about the pageant and how you think it isn't good for women then you should have done that....making fun of people is never a good way to get your point across....

The whole thing is ridiculous. Barbara wants Donald to come on the view to patch things up? Why should she care what Trump thinks or that one side dislikes the other or not? Why should Rosie care? Why should Trump care what *they* think?

Both Trump and Rosie are detestable people. It just goes to show that people can be extremely successful and still act like 5 year olds.

We need a smiley holding a "Good Post" sign! You are correct; I side with Trump here but this whole thing is ridiculous.......
"Media only pawn in game of life" The ONLY reason I saw the whole story is because it was on FOX News.....He CRUSHED Rosie....

It would probably have meant high ratings for that episode of "The View".

I'm certain he wasn't trying to be her friend. It was just another opportunuity for Trump to exercise his overblown ego, by rubbing Rosie's nose in the [alleged] *truth* about Walters' comments - with the goal of embarrassing RO. Similarly, if he simply wanted to warn her, he would have kept the contents of the letter private, instead of releasing it publicly. That was not the case or his intent.

The ownage of Rosie and Babwa and the self-ownage by The Donald is just delicious. It couldn't have happend to 3 more deserving egomanics.

The trainwreck that is show biz. Gotta love it. I can well imagine the three of them concoction all this hoo-ha together. They all benefit. There is no "bad" publicity. Good timing for The Apprentice season premier, and the View could always use a boost.

Now thats good!.
Nice that The Donald has someone to take dictation for him, cuz I doubt he could of typed that letter with one hand patting himself on the back, and I don't want to think about the other hand.
I think he was correct to call her out on this, but come on Don, let it end, your show has started up, talk about that.
And Rosie, well just stop talking

I'd bet Rosie has Donald beat on that count. :D
Say what you want about the Donald, at least he's successful in his chosen profession.
Isn't Rosie supposedly a comedian? Or an actress?
Isn't her just being on The View an admission that her career is in the toilet?

I thought she was a magazine publisher and a Broadway producer. :DHeh, among other things. Actually she was a mediocre comedian, then a pretty good actress, then a moderately successful host of her own talk show, and since then she's been pretty much nothing.
Mark my words, either Barbara Walters or Rosie O'Donnell will be exiting The View sometime this year. If Disney forces Barbara out (or she leaves on her own) then I predict the show will tank also.

Barbara is 77 years old. I bet she will be leaving soon too.

I must have a different definition of "moderately", because when it was on, her talk show was #2, only trailing Oprah. That's pretty successful... (Just saying.)Mark my words, either Barbara Walters or Rosie O'Donnell will be exiting The View sometime this year. If Disney forces Barbara out (or she leaves on her own) then I predict the show will tank also.I agree, and it should be Rosie to leave instead of Barbara. I only occasionally catch the View (mostly while sitting in waiting rooms!), but IMO, Rosie has bought nothing but tension and rancor to the show, and she's much too overbearing. If Rosie leaves, the show can play host-roulette again and look for someone new. (Janeane Garofalo?)
If Barbara leaves, the show's toast. Barbara is an Exec Producer, so she definitely has a say, but she has also reached a certain age in life where other TV personalities have been retiring and an itchy ABC corporate exec could "persuade" her to leave. The only way I see that happening is if ABC doesn't renew the View. Barbara doesn't deserve that simply because of Rosie's antics.

This is what I'm thinking. It's just too coincidental for this to start up right when the Apprentice is returning. And the boost to the View would be nice too.
Regardless, I think it's hilarious and extremely entertaining. It's like the WWE. HEEEEYYY!! Get Vince on the phone!! This would make a great PPV!!! :D

I don't see how it could help the ratings for The Apprentice.
Looks like the feud is dying down though, I'm glad they are able to get on with their lives after such a traumatic experience. /sarcasm
