Beeping out of speakers

I recently moved my beloved DTV tivo downstairs because the DVR they gave me sucks. When I hooked it up I started to hear a beeping noise and some static through my speakers. I had this tivo hooked up for 3 years and never had this problem. I thought it was a bad install in the new house but of course they told me it was the Tivo. Anybody heard of this before? My Tivo is a Phillips. I don't want to get rid of my Tivo. If it is the Tivo can I just get a new one off of e-bay and still use it with DTV? Thanks for the help

How do you have the TiVo connected to the TV and/or AV receiver.

I have it hooked to the surround AV unit. I had the DVR hooked up prior but hated it so I brought the Tivo down. The Tivo is not a grounded unit like the DVR so my first thought was a bad ground on DTV part. They said no everything is good.

Using red/whire or optical/coax digital to the surround AV unit?
Whichever one you are using try the other, if available.
