I have noticed lately that my HR10 (6.3a) is making additional folders for shows with the same title. Last evening, I recorded two episodes of Heroes. Last week, I recorded three episodes of Heroes. I expected Tivo to put the new Heroes programs in the folder it created last week, but today I see that I have two Heroes folders, one from last week with three episodes, and one from this week with two.

Is this Tivo's way of telling me that something sinister is going on?

Any explanations?

I am assuming that the reason the season passes are skipping episodes is because for some reason, it does not recognize the upcoming episodes as part of the series. Placing various episodes into different folders is a "sign" that Tivo thinks that they are not the same series. That's why, I presume, we are having the season pass skipping problems. Anyone else see this?

Season Pass recorded episodes are put into one folder,
Suggestion recorded episodes are put into a different one.

Could that be your issue?

Could this be yet another side affect to the SP/Wishlist issue?

Season Pass recorded episodes are put into one folder,
Suggestion recorded episodes are put into a different one.

Could that be your issue?Suggestions are put in both the suggestion folder and the existing program folder. My bet the the show changed it ident number in the guide data. Different numbers means different shows and different folders.

I noticed that mine was recording Sci-FI and NBC. Not sure but I think it was 2 different folders. Could that be it? Different network?

No. The same show, same channel, same title, a week apart, put into different folders. I have suggestions turned off.

Same thing happened with me with The Simpsons. I have like 2 in one folder and 3 in another, all from this season.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you check, you will find that it starts a new folder for each new month. You probably have one for Dec., and one for Jan.

Actually, the first three episodes of Heroes were Jan 1st, and the second were the 8th, so same month, same year.

That was certainly true for me. Episodes of several programs recorded prior to the apocalypse were in one folder; episodes after were in another.

A restart may straighten things out.
