New to the boards and from reading here I can see there are many knowledgeable and friendly people that may be able to help me
I need to know what would be the best way (if possible) to hook up all my components to my TV in my living room.
I have an HD TV, HD Cable Box, DVD/VCR combo, Playstation 3, and Tivo, I tried all sorts of combinations but I cannot get everything to stync, I just moved into a new place and due to my own stupidity, I just pulled all the wires out from my previous home and tried to re install everything by memory.
Also, so I have to notify Tivo of my move?
Any help would be appreciated......

And me.

I've had Tivo for nearly 6 years and they have yet to ask for my address - 'cuz they don't need it. All they need is a valid credit card number.

If you move to a home with different cable lineup than your previous house, then you need to repeat the channel setup to the correct channels.

Ok cool, thanks, but I hope I can hook it up first lol :)

My suggestion would be to hook up one device at a time an make sure it works. Start with the cable box, and then add one more unit and confirm that it is working.

So far the cable box is the only thing hooked up, everything else is not hooked up, I get confused with all the different wires and where they should go into each component.

Check out this wiring guide (http://www.electrophobia.com/tivo/) from the FAQ. It seems to detail most of the different ways to connect your equipment.

Well, the Tivo needs to go between the cable box and the TV (with an IR blaster back to the cable box). That would be my next unit I tried.
