What no thread yet? What a bunch of snobs! ;)
Oh well. Let me just say how much I enjoyed Flava of Love. That said, this one I was not feelin' it. I guess Flava does have some charisma after all.
New York (Tiffany) was hilarious and the fact that she was jilted twice made for some great laughs. But this iteration did not have me ROTFL. And her Mom is even more annoying (imagine that!).
I'll stick around for a couple of more episodes (since the coming attractions looked intriguing). Especially since Chance is this season's New York.

I have a feeling this show wont be as good - not because Flava was so great but because you wont have a bunch of catty ghetto chicks getting in fights and screaming at each other.
That (for me at least) was the appeal of the last show. Watching those idiots fight over Flav was hilarious. Its not the same when you have a bunch of dudes.

I agree.
But that's probably not going to stop me from watching it. :D

Mr. Boston graduated from college in the same class as Mike and I. I was at a friend's place last night, and we flipped it on to see the inevitable train wreck. It was much more enjoyable when we figured out we knew this guy.

Quite honestly, I didn't know him well, but had enough conversations with him that I don't think he's really playing it up for the cameras that much. He'll make things interesting.

I'll be watching just for the sake of it, and plus there is definitely some cute eyecandy to keep me intrigued.
Funny, I could totally understand the whole "Rico" / "lil black girl" thing. I have a friend (Brazil) who named his black chihuaua (sp?) "negreno"(sp?), meaning "lil' black boy" He's taken a lot of flack for it, and constantly has to explain that it is a term of endearment from where he is from that does not translate well in American English.

And The Surreal Life begat Strange Love.
And Strange Love begat Flavor of Love.
And Flavor of Love begat I Love New York.
